Vets4Pets, established in 2001, is a prominent provider of veterinary services across the United Kingdom. The company operates a network of locally owned and operated practices, offering comprehensive pet care services, including general health treatments, emergency procedures and specialized services such as dentistry and orthopaedics. Each practice is equipped with modern facilities, including in-house laboratories, digital x-ray machines and ultrasound equipment, ensuring high-quality care for pets.
In 2013, Vets4Pets was acquired by Pets at Home, the UK’s largest pet store business, for approximately £40 million. This acquisition integrated Vets4Pets into a broader pet care ecosystem, allowing for enhanced services and resources. Pets at Home, founded in 1991, operates over 450 stores nationwide, offering pet supplies, grooming services and veterinary care.
The integration of Vets4Pets into Pets at Home facilitated a seamless experience for pet owners, combining retail and healthcare services under one roof.
Each Vets4Pets practice maintains a degree of autonomy, allowing local veterinary professionals to tailor services to their communities’ specific needs. This model ensures personalized care and fosters strong relationships between veterinarians and pet owners. The company’s commitment to animal welfare is evident through its adherence to high clinical standards and continuous investment in modern veterinary technology.
By focusing on both preventative care and advanced medical treatments, Vets4Pets aims to keep pets healthy and support their well-being throughout their lives.
